- UGCY is an annual competition that aims to bring together talented and diverse individuals through music, encouraging them to strive for excellence and exceed their own limitations, whilst inspiring the young and old in all walks of life.
Why Gospel Choir?
- Gospel music, known for its soulful melodies and uplifting messages, offers a unique blend of artistic expression and emotional release. Participating in a gospel choir is not just about singing; it's about being part of a community that supports and uplifts each other. This experience is invaluable in promoting mental health, building confidence, and creating a sense of belonging.

UGCY's Impact
- UGCY has had a significant impact on the lives of thousands of students, going beyond academic learning and contributing to their personal growth and well-being including:
Capacity Building & Growth
The organisation has partnered with corporates like Accenture, UBS, and KPMG to deliver capacity building and skills workshops, resulting in more than 500 students securing insight day opportunities, internships and/or full-time jobs with UBS, Accenture and KPMG alone.

Performance opportunities and Sense of achievement
Singers who have participated in UGCY have gone on to win awards, start businesses, and perform at high-profile engagements including but not limited to BBC Gospel Proms, X Factor, The Voice and Britain’s Got Talent.
